Paper Submission

`CALL FOR PAPERS`

To encourage the exchange of research ideas and to increase the possibility of research collaboration, submission of original papers is called. Both oral and poster presentations are welcome.

Authors should submit their papers by 24 September, 2021. All papers will be peer reviewed by the Symposium Committee, which reserves the right to accept or reject any submitted paper. Notification of paper acceptance will be sent by 15 October, 2021. Papers will be presented in oral or poster sessions according to the decision made by the Symposium Committee.

Contributed papers are solicited in the following areas of laser dynamics covered by the Symposium:

The topics include but are not limited to

(1) Physics and engineering of nonlinear laser dynamics, including stability, bistability, periodic and aperiodic dynamics, and chaos
(2) Generation, measurement, shaping, and processing of diverse waveforms based on nonlinear laser dynamics
(3) Applications of nonlinear laser dynamics and their waveforms
(4) Characterization, control, and synchronization of nonlinear laser dynamics
(5) Photonic crystal lasers and nanostructured lasers
(6) Surface emitting lasers and lasers on silicon
(7) All-optical processing using semiconductor lasers and amplifiers
(8) Short pulse lasers and mode-locked lasers, modulation dynamics, noise, etc.
(9) Comb generation and optical millimeter wave generation
(10) High-power lasers
(11) Quantum cascade lasers and interband cascade lasers
(12) Cavity solitons
(13) Reservoir computing and neuromorphic computing
(14) Photonic technologies for artificial intelligence and machine learning
(15) Random number generation using chaos and security applications
(16) Photonic integrated circuits and silicon photonics for applications of laser dynamics
(17) Chaos communications and chaos control

`BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD`

Students are encouraged to submit their works to IS-PALD 2021. All student submission will be nominated as candidates of Best Student Paper Award. The final awardees will be celebrated at the end of the conference.

To be eligible for the Best Student Paper Award, you must meet the following criteria:

(1) Student has to register to attend the online conference in person.
(2) Student has to be the first author of the paper.
(3) Student has to be the presenter of the paper.

`SUBMISSION METHOD`

Only PDF files are accepted. The authors are asked to use the enclosed manuscript template to prepare their contributions. The manuscript should fit within a two-page limit. Please name the title of your pdf file as IS-PALD 2021 paper – your full name.
